The Experian-Gallup Personal Credit Index provides results based on data collected by telephone interviews from a monthly national representative sample of 1,000 adults. Gallup will conduct these telephone interviews to a cross-section of households to yield a representative survey across all demographic segments of the U.S. adult population. The sample size will enable subgroup analysis (geographic, demographic, behavioral, etc.) and will also be robust enough to permit sufficient variance in calculating indicators and the overall index.

A sample size of 1,000 will yield a margin of error of +/- 3% at the 95% confidence level.

The data used for the Experian-Gallup Personal Credit Index does not contain any personally identifiable information on any individual.
